InPage is a word processor and page layout software for languages such as Urdu, Balochi, Persian, Pashto, and Arabic under Windows and Apple Mac which was first developed in 1994. It is primarily used for creating pages in the language of Urdu, using the Noori Nastaliq style of Arabic script. InPage is a tool in which we make an Urdu newspaper and articles. It also provides a translation feature available. Inpage is a popular powerful software. Inpage uses several kinds of keyboards for typing Urdu. Hotkeys are the first symbols of types.
InPage is the software that is used for professional and personal use for writing scripts that are of the Perso-Arabic format. It is the standardized software used for newspapers, books, and magazines that need to be written in Urdu or Arabic languages. The other scripts that Inpage supports are Sindhi, Kashmiri, Pushto, and Persian. These languages are the ones that are most commonly spoken in Pakistan and Pushto and Persian are also spoken in Iran and Afghanistan along with Pakistan.

We can set the layout of the keyboard according to our requirements.
This software uses windows font for English writing while for other languages this software has its own fonts. These fonts are called Nastaliq fonts. This software works almost similar to MS Word. We can create our documents, columns, and tables. We can insert images, draw boxes and create text boxes are well.
There is some other Urdu software also available. The Inpage provides the facility to import the files of most software (like Shahkar, Surkhab, Dilkash and etc). The InPage was the first WYSIWYG multi-lingual software. The older software was difficult to use and requires remembering the commands to perform any task. Style sheet facility, spelling, and grammar find replace, undo and other such commands are the same as MS Word. The text of the InPage can be used in other programs as well. For example, we can copy and paste the text in CorelDraw for designing purposes.

Change Language Shortcut in MS Word
In which software (e.g. MS Word) you want to write Urdu, press left Alt+Shift on the keyboard, so you will be able to type Urdu in this software. To return to English press the same Alt+shift, besides the keyboard shortcut (Alt+Shift) you can select Urdu or English mode by clicking on the language bar on the taskbar.
